A philosophy is a way of viewing the world, the universe, and society. A philosophy is a collection of concepts, worked out by a philosopher. A philosopher can be defined as an individual who has thought intensely about various aspects of their own experiences. The ideas in philosophy are abstract, meaning that they are “things that cannot be touched”. Once a philosophy becomes something that can be measured, it becomes a philosophy. All of science and mathematics were once abstract philosophies.
This blog is a bridge between philosophical thought & science. We do this by studying human history, including various religious/spiritual traditions, and combining it with modern scientific research. In this way, all of us can gather the best of the present with the best of the past. A strong understanding of who we are (our past), and a practical perspective of our current day (our present), can only lead to a brighter tomorrow (our future).
My understanding with respect to philosophy has a heavy focus on Taoism and Buddhism. This is not because I see them as “better”, or “superior”, but because I understand these traditions better than I understand others. We will go into various discussions regarding a host of topics on various spiritual & religious traditions. However, the philosophy section of this blog will focus on the Tao, and the practical ways that it can be applied to all of our daily lives.
I truly hope you enjoy this blog!
Now … let’s get liberated!
